The Duality of Life | 18" x 24" | Original Painting

Artist Statement:

If we look and think hard enough, everyone we meet is, in some way, a mirror of ourselves - a reflection, if you will. Using a tree, I wanted to capture this reflection, or duality, in a natural sense. 

While developing ideas for this piece, I wanted to incorporate geometric elements. Perfect triangles are typically uncommon, so I landed on creating a geometric-like background. I included metallic paints to enhance the tree's aesthetic to add luster and sheen.
